Sh!it Theatre present The Original Sing-A-Long A Muppet Christmas Carol
Louise Mothersole and Becca Biscuits, otherwise known as The Sh!t Theatre Company, are back by popular demand with their sing-a-long-a Muppets Christmas Carol, which isn't surprising when they come with free sweets and, most importantly, free whiskey.
Seats were eagerly taken with goodie bags in hand, serving as a survival kit for the sing-a-long proceedings. The lairy pair got straight into it, with a breakdown of the best Christmas film ever, A Muppets Christmas Carol, testing the water for the laughs, as background projections painted a picture for the night ahead.
For this stop on the mini-tour, Norwich's own The Common Lot, with Mind The Gap’s Sue Tebble supplied a special guest performance of a rather fitting Christmas carol punk mash up, warming the crowd up nicely before a single whiskey bottle was cracked open.
After a quick survival kit check, and a run down of how it all worked, a wonderfully merry evening of all things sing-a-long, whiskey, muppets, whiskey, christmas, whiskey, carols and more whiskey began. What an amazing idea and fantastic way of combining theatre and film! I’m sure after that show Sh!t Theatre will have inspired many to go on and create their own survival goodie bags for further Christmas films over the holiday season.
If you missed out on their Norwich stop, Sh!t Theatre will be wrapping the tour up at Cambridge Junction this weekend. Check it out if you can - you'll have no regrets.
