Lottery Winners Rock n Roll Circus

Lottery Winners performed at the Rock n Roll concert in Norwich this week with such passion proving they should have been higher up on the bill. The band was followed on by Sam Ryder and McFly later that evening.

Opening the show with one of their newer songs, ‘Worry’, released in 2023 from the Album, ‘Anxiety Replacement Therapy’ nodded towards the theme of the concert on lead singer, Thomas Rylance opening up about his mental health.

Mr Rylance spoke about having ADHD and how it has both helped and hindered him with his career and life. A wonderful moment which left some audience members including myself teary eyed was when he spoke out to the children in the audience and said: “If you’re a kid and feel like you don't fit in, in the school environment, the environment needs to change not you”.

The leads’ energy was like no other performance with such showmanship McFly couldn’t compete. Mr Rylance had an infectious laughter and naturally joked displaying he could have a successful career as a comedian too. One example being how he felt to be, “always the bridesmaid, never the bride” when referencing opening for Robbie Williams earlier this year.

The band formed of Thomas Rylance, Robert Lally, Katie Lloyd, and Joe Singleton, all had outstanding energy throughout the show, including Mr Rylance doing push ups and a cartwheel at one stage, even though they had flown to Norwich from the Netherlands that morning.

Over the 45 minutes the band played a range of new and old songs from ‘Turn Around’ to ‘Much Better’ and even a few covers, ‘Chasing Cars’ by Snow Patrol and ‘Can’t take my eyes off you’ by Frankie Valli. This great range of music left the audience feel very fulfilled by the end.

Towards the end, Mr Rylance became a dance instructor too, teaching the crowd a simple dance to one of their songs that filled the tent with energy and movement. He had successfully brought the audience together over song and most left the tent with a smile on their face.

Lottery Winners outdid themselves creating energy, laughter and fun from an unforgettable performance.
