Lee Gordon - Beach House EP
Lee Gordon hasn’t quite grasped the concept of an EP it would seem, as this must be the longest one in history. All joking aside though, the EP is actually just 7 tracks with an additional 4 demo tracks thrown in as an added bonus, so it’s already great value.
Right off the bat, the first thing you notice is the enormity of his voice. He’s a real powerhouse, and has a soulful tone that’s easy on the ears, and begs to be listened to. The songs are well structured and the lyrics paint a picture as you’re hearing them. The singer/songwriter genre is a crowded one, so if you want to get anywhere you have to stand out, and Lee does exactly that. His music is memorable and his voice is soft as silk at times, and as powerful as a tsunami at others. He knows exactly what to do, and more importantly, exactly when to do it.
If you’re wanting to check out just how much talent there is in and around Norwich, then just give this a listen and be amazed. This is quite simply stunning.
