Latitude // New Line Up Announcements!

In the heart of Suffolk countryside, in the middle of July, is Latitude Festival. The festival is well known for being about more than just the music. Yesterday the Henham Park crew announced yet more wonderful additions to their already cracking line-up, both musical and otherwise.

Taking the famous Sunday Afternoon spot is the incredible Bobby Womack, the godfather of soul and R&B. Previous Sunday afternoon performers have included Tom Jones and Rufus Wainwright. It’s always worth keeping an eye on who gets that time!

Everyone’s favourite trilingual transvestite comedian-come-extreme long distance runner Eddie Izzard has also been announced as a special guest. This is the only festival date Izzard has announced so far. It’ll definitely be worth camping out in the comedy tent early because it’s unlikely you’ll be able to see him otherwise (although you’ll still be able to hear, or maybe get a peak at the screen, so still go even if the line-up doesn’t allow you to live in the tent all morning).

Previous comedy announcements include Dylan Moran (of Black Books fame), Sean Lock, and Russell Kane and with more acts announced yesterday it’s worth making a regimented list of where you want to be and when.

Other new announcements include DIIV, MØ, Coves, Depford Goth, Gabriel Bruce, Georgia Ruth, Hollie Cook, Torres, Valerie June and Wolf Alice.

Run over to the Latitude website to check the full line up and for ticket information.
