Inside The Mind of a Serial Killer

True crime is the most watched genre on Netflix and it appears that the general public is hooked on the fascination around this morbid and unnerving topic.

It was clear by the mile long queue wrapped around Epic Studios this week that Norwich is no exception to this rule. We too love a good serial killer story or two!

The lecture was delivered succinctly, with great humor, lots of interesting information and visual aids to a predominantly female audience. The speaker joked at the beginning of the show- Good evening to the few men we do have in here: welcome to ladies night! This is how we love to spend a night out with our girlfriends.

Which brings me to the aspect of the talk I found the most bizarre. Learning of a term I'd never heard of before: "Hybristophilia" - a term given to define the women that fall in love with serial killers. It's literally insane behaviour and it was so odd to watch footage of the women at Ted Bundy's trial all doey eyed and pleading his innocence despite the fact that he brutally murdered a dozen young women in the local area.

Don't get me wrong; I love a bad boy as much as the next- but I draw the line on this occasion.

A fantastic, funny, informative and unusual evening!
