What a riot! What a sensation! What on earth is going on?! This is the best musical I have seen all year by a mile- absolutely iconic, hilarious, seamless, infectious and completely mad! It was such a buzzing atmosphere amongst the mega fans attending opening night last night; dressed in full fancy dress of all the favourite characters. Suspenders, corsets and sequin galore! Audience participation really added to the laughs with the back and forth between narrator, cast and those in the front rows.

Each individual performer was a stand out sensations ;their voices, energetic choreography and the more tender moments were potent, powerful and truly a joy to absorb. The Time Warp, of course, stood out as the crowd favourite- we were all dancing along to the routine and singing at the top of our lungs- "LETS DO THE TIME WARP AGAAAIIINNNN!"

Comedically, it was second to none- every single punch line, the constant stream of daring and shocking physical comedy tied in with the theme of eroticism, pleasure and queer freedom. The sex scenes were an absolute scream! We watched as Frank N Furter seduced both Brad and Janet one after another in a giant pink silken lovers bed- set up on stage as standing which gave the illusion to the audience to be voyeurs from a bird's-eye view. Not exactly the ideal thing to be watching with my Mum, but she seemed to be having a whale of a time giggling away to blow jobs and other assorted sexy displays!

That's the thing about this show- it appeals across generations- you can watch with Mum, Dad, Grandparents, friends and strangers alike- the common ground of excellent entertainment is well established! There's a reason it continues to hold such popular cult following with high quality musical re-imagings such as this one continuing to delight and and tantilise audiences; almost 50years after the original film was released in 1975.

Drag, Science Fiction, Horror, Sex, Romance, Music, Dance . Rocky Horror is celebrating diversity, inclusion, sexual and social liberation and much much more- go and see this show by any means necessary!
