Horse Party // Scarlet & Blue

The rising stars “Horse Party” are a triplet from Bury, bought together through a chance meeting, they consist of twin guitar, twin vocals and drums. Their aim was to create music that wasn’t like anything else out there, and in my opinion, they have just about succeeded. Their mixture of punk spirit and alternative sounds come dangerously close to being indie, but they keep it unique with the originality of their vocals.

Their live EP really shows off how much energy their performances have, and how skilled they are as musicians. The title track,” Scarlet and Blue” masters being energetic, but also with a fairly slow beat, contributing to the overall EP not sounding like something you’ve heard before. “Six” is a bit bluesier, but there is a distinctive sound of Horse Party running through all three tracks. In my opinion, they have struck the perfect balance of having their own sound without becoming repetitive. Keep an eye out for these guys, there’s a good chance you’ll hear more about them soon!
