Errors
Scottish electronica at NAC
As you all well know there is a certain charm that comes with the intimacy of the Arts Centre. Some bands simply suit this place and Errors are one of them. Walking to the venue on that cold and drizzly night I couldn't help but feel that these Glaswegians had brought along some curiously Scottish weather with them, but after their performance all is forgiven.
With the recent release of Lease of Life, this show was always going to be about the new material. Throughout we were treated to an incredible sound, which kept to their unique electronic post-rock style but with the terrific addition of an upbeat and, at times, shoegaze feel. The musical tightness of Errors' live performance was second to none. The hard working synth and beautiful reverb heavy vocal harmonies were brought together perfectly with exceptional drumming from James Hamilton. There were times I honestly could not take my eyes of the almost effortless yet utterly stylish performance that oozed an incredible amount of class at every beat.
I jumped for joy when they had time to play a couple of the old favourites and for this well rounded and utterly enjoyable live experience I thank you Errors.
