Casey Lowry
On the whole a great night, I would definitely recommend. Even if you don’t know his music I can guarantee you will be laughing by the end of the first song!
TikTok sensation Casey Lowry made his debut appearance in Norwich, and put on what I still can’t decide was a gig or comedic show.
In all honesty I only knew the musician from TikTok- something he addressed and said touring was his opportunity to show people his music.
But in no way was this your average gig. I’m not even sure I'd class it as a gig to be honest; maybe more of a hybrid between a comedy show and actual songs.
He was hilarious to say the least!
He got the giggles countless times and had to restart songs, which may sound irritating but was actually highly amusing- the audience were laughing just as much as he was.
With phrases like “this show has gone rogue”, “I just snorted a little bit”, and “I’m gonna piss myself”, there was no telling how the night would end.
Casey played his old stuff as well as new tunes that he asked the audience to critique as he hopes to eventually release an album.
‘Caroline’ is one to look out for. A song that he introduced as, “this is about my therapist, and I think I love her”. He also incorporated a meditation track that he listens to in the song as an instrumental, a nice touch I thought.
He also lived up to his TikTok status and performed his improv songs about members in the audience.
On the whole a great night, I would definitely recommend. Even if you don’t know his music I can guarantee you will be laughing by the end of the first song!
