Mammal! Not Fish - Wake Up! EP

About a year ago, four guys were sat around a table at a music festival having a few beers. Someone suggested to them that they should form a band, and they looked at each other and said “yeah, why not?” Thus Mammal! Not Fish was born. A year later, Wake Up!, their debut EP has landed, and what a cracking EP it is. Its roots are planted in the Ska genre, but there are many branches into other territories. If there’s one word to describe this release, it’s 'FUN' because there’s a whole lot of it here, and it’s as infectious as malaria.

This is music that will get under your skin and force you to move, and every song is an ear worm, with catchy riffs and sing-a-long choruses. Some of the lyrics are genuinely funny, and while the band doesn’t take themselves too seriously, the proficiency with which they play their instruments is very serious indeed.
