Hadouken! // The Waterfront - 03.03.10

A sea of UV filled the waterfront for the sold out Hadouken! tour last night. Hadouken!, first making an appearance on the UK music scene three years ago, in 2007, on radio one with ‘That boy that girl’ have gone from strength to strength and now on their 2010 tour, have fully fledged rock star status!

With support from ‘Unicorn kid’ and ‘This city’ the venue had a lively, energetic atmosphere building by the time Hadouken! took to the stage. The show consisted mostly of tracks from their new album 'For the Masses’ recorded with drum n bass producers Noisia in 2009.  It was a very visual performance with laser shows and strobe lighting…. a real ‘rave’ experience for the young party people. They opened with ‘Rebirth’ setting the pace for a sweaty mosh pit! Followed by ‘Get smashed gate crash’ and ‘Love, sweat and beer’.  ‘Turn the lights out’ and ‘Mic Check’ kept the crowd bouncing through the night with plenty of sing-a-long lyrics to keep the audience engaged with the energy of the band.

Touring the UK currently and due to make plenty of festival appearances over the summer you have many more chances to catch these guys if you couldn’t make it down last night…… so what are you waiting for??? We hope they make a return to Norwich sometime in the future, and when they do be sure not to miss it!
