Grosvenor Fish Bar is one of Norwich’s gems. Its location and décor really make this fish and chip shop stand out above the rest. When it was open pre-covid 19 there was a huge downstairs seating area with neon lights and little nooks to hide and eat in.

There is no Vegan food here other than pickled gherkins because they cook in beef fat, there are veggie burgers on the menu. We had haddock (£7.00), plaice (£6.50), large chips (£3.00), pickled gherkins (£3.00) and some battered gherkins (£2.00). Everything was massive. The fish was huuuge, the chips were huuuge and the gherkins were well, HUUUUGE. This is the place to go if you are hungry, you will not walk away without being too full to move. The fish was really good quality, the gherkins were to die for and the chips were great. The place seemed rammed and when we showed up to collect our order, the staff said they were expecting everyone coming back from the beaches to collect fish and chips on their way home. If people are specially coming from the coast inland to get their fish and chips, they must be really good.

Overall this was a solid 7/10, the menu has a massive selection other than vegan and veggie options, of which there are none so this would be a 6/10. The food was really good quality and tasty so would be a strong 8/10
