Deaf Havana - All These Countless Nights

Deaf Havana - All These Countless Nights

The long-awaited album from Norfolk’s own Deaf Havana is on the horizon, and what’s more, it’s rather good. Opening with Ashes, Ashes it comes out of the gate with a fine slice of stadium rock, and following on from that, the latest single Fever keeps the momentum going. That theme is carried on throughout, and with big choruses and a full sound, these songs were made for big arenas - this could well be the album to get them there. Yes, this is another album with a more commercial sound, but the band have continually evolved throughout their career, and it seems this is a sound they’re happy with. Whether you agree with the transition from the older material to something more accessible is down to personal taste, but the quality of the songwriting continues to be a major strength. Just listen to St Pauls and decide for yourself. This album then, in my humble opinion, is their finest yet. It’s energetic, intense, and just dripping with quality from start to finish. Honestly, I can’t find a negative thing to say about it, except maybe my stereo just wasn’t loud enough for it! Get your fist pumping and your feet stomping.

10/10
