Chrome and Illinspired - The All C n I
This is one funky album.
If you like hip hop and you live in Norwich it’s unlikely you’ve not already come across these guys; Chrome and Illinspired are both straight outta East Anglia. There is a real home-grown feel to this album, with local artwork on the cover, features from local MCs like DPF and Choco Doobs, and a cheeky big up to the record shops of Norwich. This is one funky album, with big b-boy beats, scratching and old school cuts; an essential for any hip hop record collection. The boys have used samples from classics such as the Beastie Boys all the way to the Pearl and Dean theme tune they used to play before the film starts at the cinema. I love this album. It’s got a great old school funky style to it, and brilliant features from loads of great MCs (like Whirlwind D!).
There are so many brilliant tunes on this album, I don’t think I could possibly pick my favourite, but definitely make sure you see these guys live if you get the chance. They definitely know how to get the crowd going!
