Allied

In 1942, Canadian Intelligence officer Max Vatan (Brad Pitt) meets and falls in love with French Resistance fighter Marianne Beauséjour (Marion Cotillard) whilst on a deadly mission in Morocco. After fleeing to London to start a family, their relationship is put under pressure when the Secret Service suspect Marianne to be a German spy. A bit like Casablanca but not as good.

Moana

Disney's recent run of form continues with this tale based on traditional Polynesian mythology. Moana (Auli'i Cravalho) is the only daughter of a chief in a long line of sea-faring navigators. When a curse blights her island, she sets off on an epic adventure with the help of demigod Maui (Dwayne Johnson) to lift the curse and save her people.

Sully: Miracle On The Hudson

Based on the true story of Chelsey "Sully" Sullenberger (Tom Hanks), an American pilot who heroically landed his damaged plane on the Hudson River in order to save the lives of his passengers and crew. Hanks balances heartfelt, powerful speeches and quiet, more subtle moments beautifully and Clint Eastwood's workmanlike direction manages to draw an engrossing drama out of an event that lasted only 208 seconds.
