One benefits of being in isolation at home is that you can eat and drink whatever and whenever you want to. What better to snack on than a pie and some beer? Luckily for us, The Rumsey Wells famous Pieminster Pies are now available for delivery through beerdrop.co.

Delivery runs Thursday to Sunday and the pies are cold for you to heat up and eat whenever you want one! Your pie can be delivered with beer and snacks, the snacks range from a variety of olives and a meat snacks, and the beer has a great range of Ampersand. Shindigger and No Heroes. There are three pies to choose from, ‘Free Ranger’ (Chicken, Ham and Leek), ‘Kevin’ (Vegan Mushroom, tomato and Red Wine) and ‘Moo’ (Steak and Ale).

Free Ranger

When you order your pie, the instructions are clear, order what you want and it will be with you in under three hours. We ordered at 2:30pm and our pies and drinks were with us well within the three hours. The delivery service was great, no contact, friendly staff who was wearing gloves and stayed at a distance from us while showing us everything we ordered was there. There is also an app that allows you to track your driver if that’s your thing.

Both the pies were huge, we put them in the oven for 25 minutes and they were cooked to perfection. We ordered some garlic olives to eat while we were waiting for the pies, they came in a packet, which made me dubious of getting some but they were well worth it.

I would rate the meal quality at 8/10, the meal variety at 5/10 only because it would be good if there were an option for gravy or sides (even cold ones to be heated would be good) and the beer and snacks at a 7/10.
