Peach Club - The Bitch Diaries EP

This EP is one of the rawest things i’ve heard in a while. Whether that a good thing or not I’m still trying to figure out. Everything here is so fucking live that it sounds properly electric, perfect for kind of wrecking ball sound I think they're going for. The lyrics are bang on, righteously giving the finger to any one who would tell women what to do with their lives. They can, however, sometimes verge on the obvious, which sometimes leaves me feeling like they can do better. The live effect too can sometimes wear thin, especially when it seems like some instruments are out of tune, or some beats are out of time. This EP is a good first attempt, and the raw materials for something greater are clearly here, however this time round I don’t think they quite hit the mark. I’m looking forward to hearing whatever they put out in the future.
