DePlume doesn’t so much take the stage as fold himself into it, like ink bleeding into water. He moves through music, poetry, and comedic storytelling with the ease of someone who is constantly reshaping the boundaries between art and life.

It’s a polished and spirited revival, just one that plays it a little too safe. A rootin’-tootin’ crowd-pleaser. But, heck, I was hoping for a wilder ride through Deadwood.

Synth East Live’s most anticipated event hit Norwich with a festival of synths, modular music, and a Q&A with John Foxx from Ultravox. But the real highlight was the night’s headliners: Magical Molten Modular Synth Adventure, Loula Yorke, and Seefeel.

An assault on the senses, a delicious blend of discomfort and discovery. It’s a night you won’t forget, even if you’re not sure what, exactly, you’re supposed to remember of it.

Free Mason is a refreshing departure from the relentless punchline-chasing of mainstream stand-up. Mason offers something intimate here and more textured—a carefully observed patchwork of life’s smaller, stranger moments.

Experiencing their newer, energetic, guitar-driven sound live was an exhilarating experience. Wunderhorse is not just on the cusp of greatness; they are about to set the indie music scene on fire.

It was when the band really got the audience dancing with sinuous guitar solos, a bumpy drum machine and an addition of various percussion instruments – tambourines, maracas, guiros – that the sound reverberated and created a buzzy feeling of wonky nostalgia

It’s a brilliant debut with all the flavours and buzz of that very special gig.

The original punk poet, known equally for his rapid-fire surrealistic diatribes as his coat-hanger figure, dark frames and wildfire singed hair has been around the block, circumnavigated the globe countless times as he pointed out in his performance on Thursday night.

Although the intention of the album was to feel the experience of driving through a tunnel, Heart Under takes you to so many other places (some of which you’d rather keep locked away). It’s a terrific second album.
